Hello! I’m Tami Vienn Allen, and if you’ve been searching for a space where you can be your 100% authentic self, you’ve found it. I am a native Houstonian with a deep appreciation for my roots. I graduated from Bellaire High School and attended Texas Southern University and University of Houston for a few years before deciding college was not for me at that time and decided to follow my passion and attend cosmetology school and was a hairdresser for over 25 years prior to becoming a therapist.

Many people ask me how I transitioned from being a hairdresser for 25 years to a Licensed Professional Counselor. The truth is, the two roles aren't as different as you might think. Behind the chair, I learned the most important skill a therapist can have: active, non-judgmental listening. I spent decades hearing stories of joy, heartbreak, and everything in between.

Today, as a virtual counselor based in Houston, Texas, I’ve combined gift for listening with 14 years of clinical expertise. Whether you are a high-achieving professional feeling the weight of the world, a couple trying to find your way back to each other, or a man looking for a space to be heard without judgment—I am here to be your accountability partner.

I am the proud mother of two grown children: a son who is an IT professional and a daughter who is a medical doctor.

When I’m not in the therapy room, you can find me outdoors—I am an avid road cyclist, spin instructor, motorcyclist, and golfer. I also love to travel and believe that my commitment to mental restoration and balance is what makes me a relatable, empathetic, and present therapist for you. a short description.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) dedicated to providing high-quality mental health care. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Phoenix in 2009 and my Master of Science in Counseling Psychology from Capella University in 2012.

 I have gained extensive clinical experience working within county mental health agencies and the county jail mental health division. In 2017, I launched my private practice to focus on the areas I find most fulfilling: relationship dynamics. Whether you are seeking premarital, marital, life-partner, or divorce recovery support, I provide a non-biased space for all races, religions, and gender/sexual orientations.

Notably, my practice has seen significant growth in men’s mental health. I take pride in being a "listening ear" for men, providing practical understanding of women, relationships, and—most importantly—themselves.

    Like any other relationship, it's all about chemistry, transparency, open communication, and trust  is key to a successful, therapeutic connection.

    My role in this process is to teach you how to communicate effectively, gain confidence as I help you solve problems collaboratively and respectfully, and learn to forgive and trust again. 

      As a result of the process, you will develop and grow as individual by learning to look at common destructive patterns in your life and I will you to create a plan for change.
